Union Convention. The Chapter Chairman or his representative elected to attend a function of the Union such as conventions, or educational conferences, upon application, shall be allowed a total of five (5) days per year time off without loss of time or pay to attend such conference and/or conventions.
Union Convention. The Board shall grant up to a total of four (4) days a year leave of absence with pay to enable Union nominees to attend Union Conventions.
Union Convention. Leave of absence without pay or loss of seniority shall be granted upon request to the Division to employees selected or appointed to represent the Union at Union conventions, schools or workshops; such time shall not exceed a total of sixty (60) days in any one (1) year to all members belonging to the Union as a collective unit. In all cases of such leave, the Division shall be notified as soon as possible and in no case less than five (5) working days prior to the commencement of such leave.
Union Convention. One employee of the unit elected or designated by the Union shall be allowed four (4) days per year with pay to attend State-CSEA conventions.
Union Convention. The District agrees to permit two (2) Union Stewards to attend the annual MASSCOP Conference. The selected Union Stewards to attend the conference shall not be assigned to the same shift as to not inflict undue hardship onto the District. The District shall not incur any additional expenses related to the Union Stewards attendance at the conference.
Union Convention. 8.1 Employees selected by Local 781 to attend and serve as delegate to conventions of the Union and organization and training conferences relating to the Union shall be permitted to take accrued vacation, leave, compensatory time, or personal time to attend such activities. The Union shall provide 60 days advance notice to the Division Manager of the applicable dates of such activities and promptly advise the County of the participant names as soon as such is determined. If the County is unable to safely provide minimum required staffing coverage, the participant is subject to recall and/or cancellation of previously approved leave.
Union Convention. The Board shall, upon reasonable advance notice, permit two employees to attend two UPSEU conventions or training schools each year for a period of two (2) days total without loss of compensation. The total time a single employee shall be allowed to attend the convention or training shall not exceed two (2) days per year.
Union Convention. (Article 10, Section 3.F and Article 24, Section 2) The week of the National or State Convention will not be included in the choice vacation period for a delegate to said convention. The delegate to said convention shall have the option to use annual leave or leave without pay (LWOP) to attend such conventions. The employee shall be granted another selection in the choice vacation period. The state convention convenes bi- annually on the second Thursday of the month of June in odd number years. The National Convention convenes bi-annually in even number years. The Calendar shall be blocked off during these weeks to allow the delegates, who want to attend, the opportunity to do so, up to the 14%.
Union Convention. Leaves of absence with pay to attend and serve as delegate to conventions of the Union and organization and training conferences relating to the Union shall be granted to not more than five (5) employees in Union Local 1607 in a calendar year, with the extent of leave limited to an accumulation of two (2) work weeks per delegate, and with the purpose of these leaves to be training and education in grievance handling, labor-management relations, personnel administration, etc. The Union shall provide five (5) working days’ advance notice of intention to attend and names of employees.
Union Convention. Leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority shall be granted upon request to the City Manager, to employees elected or appointed to represent the Union at Union Conventions insofar as the operation of the Department will permit, for a maximum of two employees for a period of one week only.
