Procedures for Renewal. The Grantor and the Grantee agree that any proceedings undertaken by the Grantor that relate to the renewal of the Grantee’s Franchise shall be governed by and comply with the provisions of Section 626 of the Cable Act, or any such successor statute.

Procedures for Renewal a) The procedures for renewal shall be the same as those set out in Article 10.1(a)-(b) and (d)-(i) for the tenure stream except as set out to the contrary in this Article and except that the term “Xxxx” in Article 10 shall be read as “Principal” and the term “Theology Member” shall be read as including College Members appointed under this Article. b) The probationary review shall be completed by a Renewal Committee consisting of five (5) persons as follows: (i) The Principal, who shall serve as chair of the committee; (ii) Two (2) faculty members with tenure or continuing status from the College Member’s program or a cognate area of the College or the University of Toronto, including at least one Associate Professor, Teaching Stream or Professor, Teaching Stream, appointed by the President; and (iii) Two (2) faculty members with tenure or continuing status from the candidate’s program or a cognate area at the College or the University of Toronto, including at least one Associate Professor, Teaching Stream or Professor, Teaching Stream, appointed by the College Council. c) The Principal shall forward the Renewal Committee's recommendation to the President, who shall decide whether or not to renew the appointee's initial contract. d) Upon a successful review, the appointee's initial contract shall be renewed for two (2) years.
