Common use of Professional Training Leave Clause in Contracts

Professional Training Leave. Short-term leaves may be granted for the purpose of participating in job-related training. These leaves may be authorized by the Superintendent or designee, upon the recommendation of the employee’s supervisor. Factors to be considered will be the extent to which an employee’s services to the District will be enhanced by the experience and the loss the District will suffer by their absence. The District may grant longer term or unpaid professional leaves.
