Promoted or Transferred Employees. 1. An Employee who is promoted or awarded a lateral transfer to a new position will be considered probationary for the first 90 calendar days. This period may, in specific instances, be extended by mutual agreement between the Union and the Employer. In the event the employee's performance fails to meet established standards of the new position during the probationary period, he/she will be returned to their former position.
