Promotion of Probationary Employee. An employee serving a probationary period may be promoted to a position in a higher position classification provided he/she is certified from the appropriate Eligible List. The employee promoted in this manner shall serve a new probationary period for the position to which employee is promoted and the new probationary period and promotional appointment shall be effective the same date.
