Promotional Increase from an Acting Appointment. (a) The salary placement of an employee, w ho has been continuously acting in one or more position(s) or assignment(s) for more than six (6) months, w ho is promoted or assigned to another position or assignment having a higher salary/w age range than the salary/w age range of the acting assignment, shall be based upon the higher of the employee' s acting salary or the employee’ s substantive salary at the date of the promotion.
