Protection from Strife. 1. Each Contracting Party shall accord to investors of the other Contracting Party that have suffered loss or damage relating to their investments in the Area of the former Contracting Party due to armed conflict or a state of emergency such as revolution, insurrection, civil disturbance or any other similar event in the Area of that former Contracting Party, treatment, as regards restitution, indemnification, compensation or any other settlement, that is no less favourable than that which it accords to its own investors or to investors of a nonContracting Party, whichever is more favourable to the investors of the other Contracting Party. 2. Any payment as a means of settlement referred to in paragraph 1 shall be effectively realisable, freely transferrable, and freely convertible at the market exchange rate into the currency of the Contracting Party of the investors concerned and freely usable currencies.

Protection from Strife. 1. Any payments made pursuant to paragraph 1 above shall be effectively realizable, freely convertible and freely transferable.
Protection from Strife. Without prejudice to Article 60 and notwithstanding Article 66, each Party shall accord to investors of the other Party and to their investments treatment no less favorable than the treatment it accords to its own investors or investors of a non-Party and to their investments, whichever is more favorable to the investor of the other Party or its investments, with respect to measures, such as restitution, indemnification, compensation or any other settlement, it adopts or maintains relating to losses suffered by investments in its Area owing to armed conflict, civil strife or any other similar event.
Protection from Strife. (1) An investor of a Contracting Party which has suffered a loss relating to its investment in the territory of the other Contracting Party due to war or to other armed conflict, state of emergency, revolution, insurrection, civil disturbance, or any other similar event in the territory of the latter Contracting Party, shall be accorded by the latter Contracting Party, as regards restitution, indemnification, compensation or any other settlement, treatment no less favourable than that which it accords to its own investors or to investors of any third state, whichever is most favourable to the investor. (2) An investor of a Contracting Party who in any of the events referred to in paragraph (1) suffers loss resulting from: (a) Requisitioning of its investment or part thereof by the forces or authorities of the other Contracting Party, or (b) Destruction of its investment or part thereof by the forces or authorities of the other Contracting Party, which was not required by the necessity of the situation, Shall in any case be accorded by the latter Contracting Party restitution or compensation which in either case shall be prompt, adequate and effective and, with respect to compensation, shall be in accordance with Article 5 (2) and (3).
Protection from Strife. Investors of one Contracting Party whose investments in the territory of the other Contracting Party suffer losses owing to war, other armed conflicts, a state of national emergency or other similar circumstances, shall be accorded by the latter Contracting Party treatment with regard to restitution, indemnification, compensation or other settlement, if any, no less favourable than that which the latter Contracting Party accords to its own investors or investors of any third State, whichever of these standards is the more favourable from the point of view of the investor. Resulting payments shall be made without delay and be freely transferable.

Protection from Strife. 3.1 An investor of a Contracting Party which has suffered losses relating to its investment in the territory of an another Contracting Party due to war or other armed conflict, state of emergency, revolution, insurrection, civil disturbance, or any other similar event in the territory of the latter Contracting Party, shall be accorded by the latter Contracting Party, as regards restitution, indemnification, compensation or any other settlement, treatment no less favourable than that which it accords to its own investors or to investors of any third State, whichever is most favourable to the investor. 3.2 Notwithstanding Article 3.1, an investor of a Contracting Party which, in any of the situations referred to in that paragraph, suffers a loss in the territory of another Contracting Party resulting from: (a) requisitioning of its investment or part thereof by the latter's forces or authorities, or (b) destruction of its investment or part thereof by the latter's forces or authorities, which was not required by the necessity of the situation, shall be accorded by the latter Contracting Party restitution or compensation which in either case shall be prompt, adequate and effective and, with respect to compensation, shall be in accordance with Articles 2.1 to 2.5.
