Common use of PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS Clause in Contracts

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. The Employer will furnish personal protective equipment (PPE) without charge or cost to the employee when it determines that such equipment is necessary for the work to be done safely. PPE and how it will be furnished will be negotiated in Local Agreements. Employees will be allowed to retain such equipment if it is not suitable for use by other employees when they no longer need it (i.e., eyeglasses, safety shoes, etc.).
