Providers of In-Person Testing i. Unit members may be assigned to serve as providers of in-person testing on a voluntary basis. If the number of unit members who volunteer for the assignment is not sufficient for the number of students who require in- person testing, or if the unit members who volunteer cannot meet those students’ language needs, additional unit members – excluding those who belong to a group at high risk of severe illness from COVID-19, or have a person in the household who belongs to a high-risk group – may be assigned to serve as providers in reverse order of seniority. If the number of unit members who volunteer for the assignment exceeds the number necessary for the students who require in-person testing, volunteers will be selected based on seniority and student needs. ii. All unit members will be restored to their previous assignments upon conclusion of the assignment of unit members as providers.

  • Trafficking in Persons This Agreement and its subsequent modifications and task agreements are subject to requirements of section 106(g) of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, as amended (22 U.S.C. § 7104); now located at 2 CFR Part 175: Trafficking in Persons. a) Provisions applicable to a recipient that is a private entity. (1) You as the recipient, your employees, subrecipients under this award, and subrecipients’ employees may not— i Engage in severe forms of trafficking in persons during the period of time that the award is in effect; ii Procure a commercial sex act during the period of time that the award is in effect; or iii Use forced labor in the performance of the award or subawards under the award. (2) We as the Federal awarding agency may unilaterally terminate this award, without penalty, if you or a subrecipient that is a private entity— i Is determined to have violated a prohibition in paragraph (a) (1) of this award term; or ii Has an employee who is determined by the agency official authorized to terminate the award to have violated a prohibition in paragraph (a) (1) of this award term through conduct that is either— (a) Associated with performance under this award; or (b) Imputed to you or the subrecipient using the standards and due process for imputing the conduct of an individual to an organization that are provided in 2 CFR part 180, “OMB Guidelines to Agencies on Government wide Debarment and Suspension (Nonprocurement),” as implemented by each respective federal agency partner at: 2 CFR Part 1125 (Department of Defense), 2 CFR Part 1326 (Department of Commerce), 2 CFR 1400 (Department of the Interior), and 7 CFR Part 3017 (Department of Agriculture). b) Provision applicable to a recipient other than a private entity.   • REDUCTION IN PERSONNEL All language in this article which is shown in italics is meant to apply to non-certified professionals, (see Article I Section A. for definition of this term). A. In the event of a general cutback or reduction of teaching staff through layoff from employment, the following procedures will be utilized. 1. Teachers not holding a valid Michigan teaching certificate will be laid off first, provided there are certified and qualified teachers to replace and perform all of the needed duties of the laid-off teacher. 2. If reduction is still necessary, then probationary teachers with the least number of continuous years of teaching in the Dexter School System will be laid off first, provided there are remaining certified and qualified teachers to replace and perform all of the needed duties of the laid-off teachers. 3. If further reduction is still necessary, then tenured teachers with the least number of years of continuous teaching experience in the Dexter School System will be laid off first, provided there are certified and qualified teachers to replace and perform all of the needed duties of the laid-off teachers. B. Certified teachers shall be defined as teachers who hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate. C. Qualified teachers shall be defined as teachers who possess a major or minor or have previous teaching experience in the District in the subject matter area to be taught. D. Length of service or seniority is defined as service in the Dexter School System as a member of the bargaining unit. Leaves of absence, with or without pay and absence due to layoff are not to be considered a break in service, but service time shall continue to accrue during periods of paid leave, or periods of layoff only. The first day worked shall commence accrual of service time. E. A seniority list shall be maintained by the District. Teachers shall be ranked in order of seniority. Accompanying the name of each teacher shall be a listing of the teacher's certification endorsement. Said seniority list shall be presented to the Association annually during the month of October for review. Corrections shall be brought to the attention of the administration within three (3) weeks after its presentation to the Association. Ranking of teachers with the same length of service shall be determined by a drawing each year. The Association and teachers so affected shall be notified in writing of the date, place and time of the drawing.

  • Conference Telephone Meetings Directors or members of any committee of the Board may participate in a meeting of the Board or such committee by means of conference telephone or similar communications equipment by means of which all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other, and such participation in a meeting shall constitute presence in person at such meeting.

  • Telephone Meetings Members of a committee of the Board of Directors may participate in a meeting by means of a conference telephone or other communications equipment if all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other at the same time. Participation in a meeting by these means shall constitute presence in person at the meeting.

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.

  • Attendance at Meetings Any employee required to attend Occupational Health and Safety Committee and/or Board of Management meetings in the capacity of employee representative shall, if such meetings are held outside the ordinary hours of work, be entitled to receive ordinary pay per hour for the actual time spent in attendance at such meetings. In lieu of receiving payment, employees may, with the agreement of the employer, be permitted to be free from duty for a period of time equivalent to the period spent in attendance at such meetings. Such time spent shall not be viewed as overtime for the purposes of this Agreement.

  • ATTENDANCE AT MANDATORY MEETINGS/SCHOOL EVENTS Where an employee is required through clear direction by the board to attend work outside of regular working hours, the provisions of the local collective agreement regarding hours of work and compensation, including any relevant overtime/lieu time provisions, shall apply. Required attendance outside of regular working hours may include, but is not limited to school staff meetings, parent/teacher interviews, curriculum nights, Individual Education Plan and Identification Placement Review Committee meetings, and consultations with board professional staff.

  • Committee Meetings ‌ All meetings of the said Committee on Labour Relations with the Union Committee and the Secretary- Business Manager, or her/his representative, shall be under the chairpersonship of a member of the Committee on Labour Relations. Meetings shall be held at the call of the Chairperson as promptly as possible on request in writing of either party. The Employer and the Union shall make every effort to exchange written agendas at least one (1) week prior to meetings called under Article 8.04.
