PROVISION OF PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AND SAFETY FOOTWEAR. a) Upon commencement of employment on the site or as soon as practicable thereafter, each weekly hired employee will be issued with four sets of clothing consisting of four shirts (collar/sleeves) and trousers or four pairs of overalls and one pair of approved safety footwear. b) Replacement shall be on a fair wear and tear basis provided the worn out item is returned when seeking replacement. The employee will be responsible for purchasing replacements for lost items. c) A casual employee whose employment is not expected to exceed four weeks shall be issued with a pair of safety boots on commencement of employment. d) Employees who have had at least two weeks continuous service on site between the months of April and September will be issued by the company with a one off winter jacket as soon as it is practical to do so, provided the employee has not received a jacket from the company on site or elsewhere of an equivalent standard within the last six months.
