Public Review. A. The EAW developed in Step 2 is processed through normal public review channels. B. Each watershed district with proposed projects will conduct public review meetings for all interested persons to hear and comment on engineers’ and resource managers’ preferred project alternatives. The watershed district will keep a formal record of the meeting. In some cases, a RGU-Federal-State joint public meeting will be held. C. The RGU consults with the project team at the end of the public review period to determine the need for an environmental impact statement (EIS). D. The RGU issues a negative declaration (Finding of No Significant Impacts, FONSI) or an EIS preparation notice.
