Purposes of Agreement. The purposes of this Agreement are to set forth the negotiated wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment for IBEW represented employees, to promote the settlement of labor disagreements by conference, to provide for the resolution of unsettled grievances by binding arbitration, to prevent strikes and lockouts, to eliminate avoidable delays and excessive or unnecessary costs and expenses, and generally to encourage a spirit of helpful cooperation between the MOA and its employees and the Union to their mutual benefit.
