STRIKES AND PICKET LINES. SECTION 1. It is mutually agreed that there shall be no strikes, lockouts or other slowdown or cessation of work by either party on account of any labor differences pending the utilization of the grievance machinery, as set forth in Article 11.
SECTION 2. Employees shall not be discharged, disciplined or permanently replaced for any protected activity related to the recognition of a primary picket line as recognized in Section 7 of the NLRA.
SECTION 3. As required by law, employees shall be furnished to the Employer during labor disputes with other construction crafts and the Employer will endeavor to work as long as economically possible during these periods.

All disputes and grievances of either Party shall be settled as quickly as possible under the Grievance Procedure outlined herein.
b) In the event of a strike by a Labour group other than those covered by this Agreement, involving the client’s property or operations, the employees will remain on the job in accordance with their obligations under the Canada Labour Code, unless to do so would endanger he life of the employee.

(a) It is mutually agreed that there shall be no strike or lockout, whether sympathetic or otherwise, during the term that this Agreement shall be in force, except as provided in the Public Service Labour Relations Act in respect of a dispute arising in the bargaining of a subsidiary collective agreement.
(b) All employees covered by this Agreement shall have the right to refuse to cross a picket line arising out of a dispute as defined in the Labour Relations Code. Failure to cross a picket line shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement nor shall it be grounds for disciplinary action.
(c) Any employee refusing to cross a picket line shall be considered to be absent without pay unless such refusal does not unduly interfere with the proper discharge of their duties, in which case the employee shall not suffer loss of pay.
(d) The Employer agrees not to instruct employees to perform tasks other than they would expect to perform in the normal course of their duties.
(e) In the event of a strike, proposed strike or apprehended action by a Union other than the signatory to this Agreement, the Employer and the Union agree to meet in order to determine the essential and emergent services which will be continued by the employees.

STRIKES AND PICKET LINES. 31.1. During the life of this agreement there shall be neither lockout by the Employer nor any strike, sit down, and slow down, work stoppage or suspension of work, either complete or partial, for any reason by the union.
31.2. For the purposes of this article an illegal strike includes any form of collective or concerted action, hampering the efficient operations of the business of the employer or service for its customers as defined by the Canada Labour Code.
31.3. In the event of a strike, by a Labour Group other than those covered by this Agreement, involving the Employer’s property or operations, the employees will remain on the job in accordance with their obligations under the Canada Labour Code, unless to do so would endanger the life of the employee.
STRIKES AND PICKET LINES. 18.01 If a Union member refuses in good conscience to cross any picket line established by any trade Union, that employee shall not be subject to any disciplinary action by the Employer, for failing to perform the work of the Employer, and shall be considered to be absent without pay.
18.02 Under no circumstances shall employees covered by this Agreement be required or expected to perform work within the jurisdiction of any other trade Union.
18.03 In the event that a Union member is absent without pay pursuant to Article 18.01, the Employer agrees to make all payments to maintain all benefits pursuant to Articles 25, 26, 27 and 30 for a period not to exceed four (4) weeks. Subsequent payments shall be the responsibility of the employee and the Employer agrees to establish access for the Union to maintain such benefits for their members.
18.04 In the event that the Union engages in a lawful strike, or the Employer engages in a lock- out, the Employer agrees to established access for the Union to maintain benefits under Articles 25, 26, 27 and 30 for its members should the Union so wish. Payments to maintain such benefits shall be the responsibility of the Union.

Grande Prairie Airport Xxxx Xxxxx Director Labour Relations Training ON BEHALF OF THE UNION: General Teamsters, Local Union No. Xxxxxxxx Business Agent Xxxxx Xxxxx Business Agent Prairie Teamsters Pension Plan Effective date of ratification, the employer will contribute, for all employees who have attained Level Certification, an amount equivalent to one percent of the employees’ gross monthly income to the Prairie Teamsters Pension Plan. Effective April this amount will increase to one and one-half percent Effective April this amount will increase to two percent (2%). Effective April employees may allocate one percent (1%) of their hourly wage rate ($0.17) for every hour worked to the Pension Plan and the Employer will contribute an additional one percent (1%) of the employee’s gross monthly income. Total combined contribution will be four percent (4%). Effective April employees may allocate two percent (2%) and the Employer will contribute an additional two percent (2%) for a total combined contribution of six percent (6%). Should employees choose not to allocate funds in and the Employer contribution will remain at two percent (2%). Note location premiums or bonuses are not defined as wages for the purpose of pension, and as such will not be included in the calculation of pension contributions. Contributions and remittances referred to above shall be remitted monthly, by the twentieth (20th) day of the month following the month to which they refer, together with a form supplied to the Employer by the Union, which will provide instructions. Timely payment of contributions to the Trust Fund provided for in this Agreement is essential for the protection of the beneficiaries. Delinquency and continued failure to remit contributions to the Trust Fund shall be dealt with as follows

They will not engage in any work they do not normally do, other than additional functions agreed to by the parties hereto.
