Common use of Pyramiding Leaves Clause in Contracts

Pyramiding Leaves. The Union and the Employer agree that eligible employees may pyramid leaves to a maximum of three (3) years. For example, an employee may start with a one hundred and twenty (120) day Take-A-Break Leave, then take a one (1) year Leave of Absence, then take a one (1) year Educational Leave and then take another one hundred and twenty (120) day Take-A-Break Leave, thereby taking two (2) years and eight (8) months off consecutively. There is no requirement to return to work between leaves.
