Pharmacy AssistantsThe Co-operative will reimburse Pharmacy Assistants for the professional membership/licensing fees that they may be required to pay to their governing body. Where there is a course required by the Co-operative for Pharmacy Assistants, the Co-operative will reimburse the employee for registration costs for the course.

Pharmacy Assistants. (a) Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1 - means a person appointed as such who is engaged in drug distribution duties, hospital pharmacy production and dispensing activities under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and/or Pharmacy Technician.

These positions shall be treated as a separate classification unless the parties agree otherwise. 2. Employees who are classified as OTC Clerks at ratification 2013 (March 23, 2013), who do not work in the dispensary, shall remain on the former Grid B pay scale outlined in Section 10.03(A), and shall receive the same off-scale wage increases as outlined in Section 10.03(B). The Union and Employer shall reconcile this list of Employees within three (3) months of ratification. 3. Qualified Pharmacy Assistants who are on the former Grid B wage scale listed under Section 10.03 at ratification 2013 (March 23, 2013), shall continue to progress through their current wage scale, including the part-time Grid A wage scale only. While these employees continue to progress through the former Grid B wage scale in Section 10.03, they shall receive the same off-scale wage increases as defined in Section 10.03. Pharmacy Assistants. Pharmacy Assistants will be required to have either a Pharmacy Assistant certification from a recognized educational institution, or two (2) years full-time equivalent experience in a dispensary as determined by the Employer. If qualified candidates are not available, the Employer can either canvass existing employees or hire a new employee who is willing to attain the appropriate certification or experience in a dispensary. An existing employee shall continue on the Wage Scale. Once qualified as determined by the Employer, their experience hours shall be reset to place them on the Pharmacy Assistant wage scale at the next highest rate. Qualified Pharmacy Assistants may be hired at a higher rate than what is outlined in section 8.03 (Credit for Previous Experience). New Pharmacy Assistant Wage Scale:
