Common use of Qualifying Absences Clause in Contracts

Qualifying Absences. The parties agree that employees must complete the necessary Weekly Indemnity forms in the manner and time prescribed by the carrier. In those circumstances where the carrier rejects a claim, the employee must appeal forthwith. The Employer will assist the employee in this process upon request. Throughout this process, sick leave credits will be used for all such absences.
