RATE OF PROGRESSION. Achievement of higher wage rates through scheduled progression within a classification assumes that an employee will achieve a normal rate of progress in the accumulation of the skill, job knowledge, and work performance required. There shall be no restriction of the Company's right to accelerate progression in cases of exceptional merit. Progression may be delayed if an employee has previously been warned in writing, not less than half a progression period or three (3) months, whichever is lesser, in advance of their progression date, about their lack of sufficient progress, unless an issue arises within this period. Under normal circumstances, the delay shall be in increments of half the period of progression, in which time the Company shall further review their performance. An employee who fails to progress following a one (1) progression delay may have further progression withheld, or may be transferred to work of an appropriate nature and wage level, or may be subject to other appropriate action, subject to the employee's right to grieve.

  • Rate of Accumulation Full-time employees shall earn cumulative sick leave at the rate of 1.25 days per month during each calendar year to a maximum of seventy-five (75) days in total. Regular part-time employees will earn sick leave on a prorated basis.

  • Rate of Pay on Promotion 44.3.1 When an employee is appointed by the Council to a higher classification level in the same group, he shall be paid at the nearest rate in the new classification level which gives the employee a salary increase not less than the minimum increment of the higher classification level to which he is being appointed by the Council. If there is no such rate the employee shall be paid the maximum rate in his new scale.

  • Regular Rate of Pay The regular rate of pay for each position in the bargaining unit shall be in accordance with the rates established for each class provided for in Appendix B. The regular rate of pay shall include any longevity increment required to be paid under this Agreement.
