Common use of Rates of Compensation Clause in Contracts

Rates of Compensation. (a) Except as provided in this article, Employees who are required by their Employer and according to Section 4 of this article, to work in excess of eight (8) hours in any day or forty (40) regular hours in any week shall be compensated for such excess hours either with pay at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times their current Basic Hourly Rate or with compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) hours for each excess hour worked as provided in Section 2 of this article.
