Common use of Re-Opening Clause in Contracts

Re-Opening. In the event that the Employer agrees to grant a general wage increase, agrees to a different health plan design, or agrees to less contributions to the health plan working rates with any other bargaining unit, during the term of this Agreement, the Parties shall reopen negotiations within thirty (30) days after the Association makes a written demand upon the Employer to exercise this re- opener. ~end~ The Parties agree that, notwithstanding the provisions of Section 22.1, the effective date of this Agreement is August 19, 2016.
