Part-Time Employee Leave. An employee working on a part-time basis shall not be eligible to accrue either sick or annual leave. At each anniversary date of employment, should the total working time during the preceding year amount to the equivalent of 6 months’ full-time employment or more, the part-time employee shall be paid in accordance with the schedule contained in Article 10. For purposes of this section, 6 months of full-time employment shall be equivalent to the following: a. 975 hours of work within an anniversary year for employees in positions which are compensated on a 37 ½ hour per week schedule; and b. 1040 hours of work within an anniversary year for employees in positions which are compensated on a 40 hour per week work schedule. A part-time employee shall not be eligible for any payment for accumulated hours if the employee: a. Separates from State employment prior to the anniversary date; or b. Accepts full-time employment with the State prior to the anniversary date.

Part-Time Employee Leave. Part-time bargaining unit members will be granted twenty-eight (28) hours of paid time off per fiscal year. These leave hours may be used as sick or personal hours and must be approved by the immediate supervisor so the schedule for that department is minimally affected. On July 1st of each fiscal year, additional hours will be granted based upon the schedule above, accumulative up to a maximum of three hundred eighty (380) days. SURS will accept up to 259 days or one year for additional service credit. These leave hours will run concurrent with any existing College or Departmental policies and with all statutory laws, regulations, and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) guidelines.
Part-Time Employee Leave. On July 1st of each fiscal year, part-time bargaining unit employees will be granted paid leave based upon the following schedule: A. Average of 23+ hours worked per week for the last year: Twenty-eight (28) leave hours B. Average within range of 18-22 hours worked per week for the last year: Sixteen (16) leave hours C. Average within range of 10-17 hours worked per week for the last year: Eight (8) leave hours D. Average of less than 10 hours worked per week for the last year: Zero (0) leave hours On July 1st of each fiscal year, eight (8) hours of paid leave will be granted to those part-time employees who achieve five (5) calendar years of service. Effective July 1, 2020, newly hired part-time bargaining employees will be frontloaded paid leave that will be based on the employees’ projected hours they will be working. This projection will be provided to HR by the employee’s supervisor at the time of hire. The employees paid leave will be prorated based on the employee’s hire date. The use of these leave hours must not exceed the employee’s scheduled work hours per week and be approved, in advance when possible, by the immediate supervisor so the schedule for that department is minimally affected. On July 1st of each fiscal year, additional hours will be granted based upon the schedule above, accumulative up to a maximum of three hundred sixty (360) days. It is understood that any earned sick leave reported to SURS is contingent upon SURS’ acceptance.
Part-Time Employee Leave. In compliance with the Paid Leave for All Workers Act, part-time bargaining unit employees will accrue 0.03 hours of paid time off (PTO) for every one (1) hour worked. This will accrue on a biweekly basis, based on the time entry approved hours. PTO leave must be accrued before it can be used. On July 1 of each fiscal year, eight (8) hours of paid leave will be granted to those part-time employees who have achieved five (5) calendar years of service. On July 1 of each fiscal year, eight (8) additional hours of paid leave will be granted to those part-time employees who have achieved fifteen (15) calendar years of service. The use of these leave hours must not exceed the employee’s scheduled work hours per week. All unused accrued paid leave carries over at the end of each fiscal year. Employees are not limited to the forty (40) hours each year in accordance with the usage and provisions of the Paid Leave for All Workers Act, however PTO requested beyond the forty (40) hours must be taken with supervisory review and approval based on operational need.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Regular Part-Time Employee A regular part-time employee is an employee hired to fill a posted part-time position and is regularly pre-scheduled to work.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article. (2) Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis shall have all extra hours worked over the regular part-time schedule paid at the hourly rate. Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis who work less than the regular part-time schedule shall have time deducted at the hourly rate.

  • PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Regular part time employees shall be provided the opportunity to purchase benefits of one of the plans described in Article XVII, Sections B and C at the Employer plan’s premium cost. The Employer will pay the Employer’s monthly share of the premium cost at a ratio proportionate to the employee’s part time condition of employment contingent upon receipt of the employee’s yearly share of the employee’s premium.

  • Union Leave of Absence 22:01 (a) The Employer shall grant leave of absence to employees to attend Union conventions, seminars, educational classes or other Union business. It is understood that the Union will not request leave of absence for more than four (4) full-time employees and three (3) part-time employees at any one time and the total leave of absence in any year shall be not more than an aggregate of thirty (30) working days for full- time employees and fifteen (15) working days for part- time employees. Longer leaves of absence will be approved at management’s discretion and will not be unreasonably withheld. Such leaves of absence shall not seriously disrupt the operations of the Home, and shall be requested as far in advance as possible, in writing to the Home Administrator, with a copy to the Human Resources Associate. It is further understood that the leave of absence shall be granted without pay and the Union shall be responsible for the payment of wages during the period of absence. (b) The parties agree the employer will continue the regular compensation for the employees on such leave, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer in a timely fashion for all costs associated with the compensation for the employees. The parties agree that the Employer is not liable for any WSIB claims that may arise while the employee is on union leave as described in 22.01 (a). 22:02 An employee who is elected or appointed to office in the Unifor, upon request and provision of six (6) weeks notice, shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of seniority and benefits for up to three (3) years. During such leaves of absence, salary and benefits shall be kept whole by the Employer and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for such salary and the Employers' contribution to said benefits. The employee agrees to notify the Employer of the employee's intention to return to work within four (4) weeks following termination of office for which the leave was granted. At the end of such leave, any employee hired or placed as a substitute for the employee on such absence, may be terminated or laid off by the Employer as required, or be transferred to the employee's previous position, if the substitution was a transfer. 22:03 Employees who are on leave of absence will not engage in gainful employment while on such leave and if an employee does engage in gainful employment while on such leave of absence they may forfeit all seniority rights and privileges contained in this Agreement. Ft&Pt 22:04 Employees on leave of absence under this Article shall continue to accumulate all rights and privileges under this Agreement.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees ‌ (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee. (b) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee. (c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.

  • TIME EMPLOYEES Part-time employee means an employee whose weekly scheduled hours of work on average are less than those established in Article 25 but not less than those prescribed in the Public Service Labour Relations Act.
