Reason for RIF. A RIF may occur only for the following reasons:

Reason for RIF. A reduction in force shall mean the layoff of a teacher by the suspension of contract, in whole or in part as described in R.C. 3319.17. Any reduction in force shall be implemented for any of the reasons and in accordance with the procedures in R.C. 3319.17, unless the procedures are otherwise prescribed herein in a manner which does not conflict with R.C. 3319.17. A reduction in the number of bargaining unit positions may be accomplished either through a reduction in force or through attrition as attrition is described in paragraph 5.011 herein. The requirements of R.C. 3319.17 prevail over any conflicting provisions herein.

  • Termination for Cause If Vendor fails to materially perform pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, TIPS shall provide written notice to Vendor specifying the default. If Vendor does not cure such default within thirty (30) days, TIPS may terminate this Agreement, in whole or in part, for cause. If TIPS terminates this Agreement for cause, and it is later determined that the termination for cause was wrongful, the termination shall automatically be converted to and treated as a termination for convenience.
