Reasons for Taking Leave. A leave request from an eligible employee must be granted for any of the following reasons: 1. Birth of the employee’s child; 2. Placement of a child with the employee for adoption or xxxxxx care; 3. Care for the employee’s child, spouse, or parent with a serious health condition; 4. The employee’s own serious health condition that keeps the employee from performing his/her job function.
