Reassignment, Bumping, and Layoff Procedures. 8 If a reduction or reorganization of the workforce reduces the number of 9 positions in a work unit within the affected FTE status, classification, and work unit 10 below the number of employees in that FTE status, classification and work unit, 11 employees in that status, classification and work unit shall be removed by inverse 12 Bargaining Unit Seniority from the affected work unit to restore the balance between 13 available budgeted positions and employees. In restoring balance within the unit, if 14 more than one employee needs to be reassigned, eligible employees shall be 15 reassigned based on Bargaining Unit Seniority.
