Recognition and Purpose. 2.1 The Corporation recognizes The National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (C.A.W.) as the sole bargaining agent for the employees covered by this Agreement and agrees to negotiate with the Union on matters affecting the wages and working conditions of the said employees. 2.2 The purpose of this agreement is to provide orderly collective bargaining procedures between the Corporation and the Union, to secure prompt and equitable disposition of grievances, to describe working conditions, hours of work and wages for the employees of the bargaining unit, and to prevent interruptions of work and interference with the efficient operation of the Corporation's business.
