Recognition and Purpose. 1:01 The Company recognizes Local 790 as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all its office and clerical employees at Thunder Bay save and except Team Leader, persons above the rank of Team Leader and Confidential Secretary to the Manager of Accounting. 1:02 The purpose of this Agreement is to advance the mutual interests of the Company and the Employees; to provide for the operation of the service of the Company under methods that will further, to the fullest extent possible, the safety, efficiency, and economy of operation; to maintain continuation of employment under conditions of reasonable hours, compensation and working conditions. It is recognized by this Collective Agreement to be the duty of the Company, the Union, and the Employees to cooperate fully both individually and collectively for the advancement of their mutual interests. 1:03 Notwithstanding that this Agreement is reproduced in a single booklet, the parties agree that there are separate and individual agreements for each Bargaining Unit described in Article 1 hereof and that nothing herein shall be deemed to have merged or consolidated the Bargaining Units or the bargaining representatives. 1:04 Wherever the term “employee” is used in this agreement:
