Recognition of Cultural Sensitivity. The Provider Agency agrees in the performance of this Contract to be sensitive to the needs of the minority populations of the State of New Jersey. This sensitivity includes the employment, if possible, of a culturally diverse staff that can communicate with, and be representative of, the community it serves. The Provider Agency shall make programs linguistically appropriate and culturally relevant to underserved minority groups within the community. Appropriate accommodations for services shall be developed and maintained for those minority individuals who are deprived of reasonable access to those services due to language barriers or ethnic and cultural differences. In addition, Provider Agencies shall make certain that all programs and services are reflective of the demographic needs of the community, while providing all minorities the opportunity to experience any and all available social services irrespective of their ethnic or cultural heritage.
