Reduction Procedures. 1. The number of people affected, by a reduction will be kept to a minimum by not employing replacements, insofar as practical, for employees who resign, retire, or otherwise vacate a position. Upon approval by the Board of Education of the reduction in force, all transfers in the affected job classification shall be suspended until Administration completes the reduction procedures. 2. No students, JTPA or Welfare individuals shall be hired while employees are laid off. Probationary employees shall be laid off first.
