REGULAR ASSIGNED ENGINEERS. The engineer, or crew, regularly assigned to a piece of equipment shall be given preference when this piece of equipment is required to work on a regular workday, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, or other overtime. When the equipment to which such engineer or crew is assigned is utilized and the engineer or crew is not given preference, such engineer or crew shall be paid for all hours that the machine has worked.
REGULAR ASSIGNED ENGINEERS. The engineers, or crew regularly assigned to a piece of equipment on a single or a multiple shift operation shall be given preference when this piece of equipment is required to work, be repaired or moved (in accordance with Article VI) on a regular workday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday or other overtime.

This Paragraph shall in no way restrict the Employer’s right to transport its equipment with any Operating Engineer.
