Common use of Rejections During Probationary Period Clause in Contracts

Rejections During Probationary Period. During the probationary period, an employee may be discharged at any time without right of appeal or hearing in any manner, except that appeal may be held in accordance with Section 49 (Grievances), if it is alleged that the discharge was in violation of Section 3 (Non-Discrimination). An employee rejected from a position to which the employee has been promoted shall be reinstated to the position from which the employee was promoted unless charges are filed and the employee is discharged as provided in Section 49 (Grievances).
