Common use of Release from Duty Clause in Contracts

Release from Duty. If the attendance at meetings, hearings, appeals, or other proceedings relating to the grievance adjustment process, as set forth in Article 4.0, whether as a grievant, a witness, a representative of the Association, or otherwise, requires an employee's absence from his regular duty assignment, he shall be released from such duty assignment without loss of pay or other penalty.

Release from Duty. If the attendance at any meetings, hearings, appeals, appeals or other proceedings relating to the grievance adjustment adjusting process, as set forth in Article 4.0, whether as a grievant, a witness, a representative of the Association, or otherwise, requires required an employee's ’s absence from his his/her regular duty assignment, he he/she shall be released from such duty assignment without loss of pay or other penalty.

During the processing of a grievance, the grievant will remain on the job and perform regular contracted obligations.
