Release Time to Work for the Union. Subject to the employee’s work unit operating requirements, Union members may be granted up to twelve (12) weeks of leave to perform work for the Union. More than one (1) employee on such leave cannot be absent from the same unit at the same time.

The employee taking Union Leave must work a week of each month. More than one (1) employee on such leave cannot be absent from the same unit at the same time. Requests for time off should be submitted in accordance with Article 15 PTO. Upon return, the employee shall be returned to the employee’s former job without loss of seniority.
