Common use of Rent Subsidy Clause in Contracts

Rent Subsidy. (a) Assistance with rental accommodation may be considered on the merits of each case if a principal on transfer is experiencing difficulty in finding permanent housing. (b) The subsidy will be granted only in respect of a short-term tenancy. The amount of the subsidy will be the excess of the rental over one-sixth of the principal’s gross salary. The period of subsidy is limited to three months. (c) Furniture storage charges may be met while the principal is on a rent subsidy.
