They should decide jointly as to how the staff member's report should be disseminated and to which groups. A sabbatical report should be shared as widely as possible in whatever form is appropriate.

  • Reporting Absences (a) Employees are responsible to report to work on time on each scheduled work day.

  • Sick Leave Reporting and Verification Employees must promptly notify their supervisor on their first day of sick leave and each day after, unless there is mutual agreement to do otherwise. If an employee is in a position where a relief replacement is necessary if they are absent, they will notify their supervisor at least two (2) hours prior to their scheduled time to report to work (excluding leave taken in accordance with the Domestic Violence Act). Unless otherwise precluded by law, the Employer has reason to suspect abuse, the Employer may require a written medical certificate for any sick leave absence. An employee returning to work after any sick leave absence may be required to provide written certification from their health care provider that the employee is able to return to work and perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Reporting Absence Staff who cannot report to work because of sickness or other reasons are expected to telephone within fifteen (15) minutes of their normal starting time, to advise their supervisor of the expected time of their return to work. Staff members who commence work at 16:00 hours or later will make every effort to inform their supervisor(s) of their pending absences as early in the day as possible, and no later than 12:00 hours for the 16:00 hour or 18:00 hour shifts, or 15:00 hours for the midnight shift. However, employees failing to provide notice as stipulated in this Article through circumstances beyond their control shall not be deemed to have violated any of the terms of this Agreement. Staff should inform their supervisor of the reason for their absence. In the event of illness, exact medical reasons need not be given.
