Common use of Representative At Disciplinary Meeting Clause in Contracts

Representative At Disciplinary Meeting. An employee shall be permitted to have a Shop Xxxxxxx or Union Representative at any meeting with the Employer or its agent, which meeting is for the purpose of investigating alleged misconduct by the employee that might be the basis for, or which may result in, the discharge, suspension or other disciplinary action with respect to the employee. If the employee indicates that he/she wishes a xxxxxxx to be present, and one is not available, another bargaining unit person of the employee’s choosing may be asked to sit in as a witness. If no such bargaining unit person is chosen by the employee, the disciplinary meeting shall be temporarily postponed until a Shop Xxxxxxx or Union Representative is available. In the meantime, depending upon the seriousness of the offense, the Employer may suspend the employee pending investigation.
