Accommodation for Disabilities MAHEC complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and state and local requirements regarding Fellow with disabilities. Upon request, MAHEC will provide a reasonable accommodation to the known physical or mental limitations of an otherwise qualified applicant or employee with a disability, unless doing so would impose an undue hardship on MAHEC.
SICK LEAVE AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY (Articles 12.01 to 12.11 apply to full-time nurses only)
Leave for Pregnancy Disability 10.6.1 Unit members are entitled to use sick leave as set forth in Sections 10.2.1, 10.2.2, and 10.2.3 for disabilities caused or contributed to by pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth, and recovery therefrom on the same terms and conditions governing leaves of absence from other illness or medical disability. The length of such disability leave, including the date on which the leave shall commence and the date on which the duties are to be resumed, shall be determined by the unit member and the unit member's physician.
Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.
Illness or Disability If, because of Employee’s illness or other disability for a continuous period of more than 45 days, Employee is unable to render the services required by the Company as provided herein, the Company may terminate Employee’s employment hereunder by written notice to Employee at least 30 days in advance of such termination. Upon such termination Employee shall not be entitled to any further payments of any nature, except for payment of (a) any earned but unpaid Annual Base Salary, (b) any unpaid bonuses and (c) unreimbursed business expenses (collectively, “Payable Amounts”). All Payable Amounts shall become due and payable on the date of such termination.
Disability If, as a result of the Executive's incapacity due to physical or mental illness, the Executive shall have been absent from his duties with the Company on a full-time basis for six months and within 30 days after written notice of termination is thereafter given by the Company the Executive shall not have returned to the full-time performance of the Executive's duties, the Company may terminate this Agreement for "Disability."
Integration with Other Disability Income In the event a totally disabled employee is entitled to any other income as a result of the same accident, sickness, mental or nervous disorder that caused him/her to be eligible to receive benefits from this Plan, the benefits from this Plan will be reduced by one hundred percent (100%) of such other disability income. Sick Leave Use Sick leave will be charged in one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour increments and may be used for the following reasons:
Disability Leave of Absence Section 37.1 Leave Without Pay A member incurring any disability not duty-connected after he has exhausted all of the paid leave to which he is entitled and has accumulated, may be granted a leave without pay for a period not to exceed three (3) months, subject to approval and to the following provisions:
