Common use of Requests for Full-Time Employment Clause in Contracts

Requests for Full-Time Employment. Part-time employees desirous of becoming full-time employees or increasing their hours of work shall inform the Employer, in writing. Employees who have applied for full- time employment shall be listed and considered in order of their seniority with the Employer. All applications must be made on the understanding that the employee may accept a work assignment in any of the Employer's stores within the area covered by the Collective Agreement. Should an employee refuse a full-time position, they will be removed from the list and must re-apply as per the above procedure. It is understood that this article is subject to Articles 16 and 17 of this Agreement.
