Full-Time Employees Only. Employees will be allowed to participate in health and welfare benefits plans during the year of the leave, but the full cost of such plans will be borne by the employees. Contributions to the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan will be in accordance with the Plan. Notwithstanding the above, employees will not be eligible to participate in the disability income plan during the year of the leave.
Full-Time Employees Only. During the year of the leave, seniority shall continue to accumulate. Service for the purposes of vacation and salary progression and other benefits will be retained but will not accumulate during the period of the leave.
Full-Time Employees Only. Hours of work for Nurses who work extended tours shall be averaged over a period as agreed to by the parties to meet the needs of a specific unit. Where a unit follows a master rotation, such rotation will not be changed without the consent of the Union. The Employer will provide the union and effected employees with six (6) weeks written notice of such proposed change. Individual requests will be considered at the time of such change. The Union will not unreasonably withhold such consent.
i) Where a vacancy occurs in a master rotation, the hospital will consider requests from current employees on the unit to fill the vacant line. Requests will be considered on the basis of skill and seniority and the subsequent vacancy will be posted if required.
Full-Time Employees Only. Where a unit follows a master rotation, such rotation will not be changed without the consent of the Union. The Employer will provide the Union and effected employees with six (6) weeks written notice of such proposed change. Individual requests will be considered at the time of such change. The Union will not unreasonably withhold such consent.
i) Where a vacancy occurs in a master rotation, the hospital will consider requests from current employees on the unit to fill the vacant line. Requests will be considered on the basis of skill and seniority and the subsequent vacancy will be posted if required.
ii) Provided there are no qualified regular part time applicants, full time Employees may be considered for temporary full time vacancies on the same basis as regular part-time Employees provided for at Article 10.07(d) of the central collective agreement. Such full-time Employee will continue to be classified as a full-time Employee and covered by the provisions relating to full-time Employees.

Full-Time Employees Only. A nurse shall be allowed to accumulate five (5) lieu days to be taken at a mutually agreeable time. It is agreed that the nurse will notify the Human Resource Manager or designate of her/his desire to accumulate these lieu days at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the paid holiday.
Full-Time Employees Only. She/he may elect to be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times her/his rate of pay, plus holiday pay, and forfeit the lieu day. If the nurse selects option (b), she/he must notify her/his department head, in writing, of her/his intent thirty (30) days prior to the date of the paid holiday. When a holiday falls on a nurse's normal day off, she/he shall be granted an additional lieu day with pay.
Full-Time Employees Only. All full-time Employees shall be granted vacation with pay as follows in each calendar year:
(a) Less than one (1) years’ service – 1.25 days’ vacation with pay for each completed month of service;
(b) One (1) year but less than three (3) years’ service – 3 weeks;
(c) Three (3) years but less than twelve (12) years’ service – 4 weeks;
(d) Twelve (12) years but less than nineteen (19) years’ service – 5 weeks;
(e) Nineteen (19) years but less than twenty-eight (28) years’ service – 6 weeks;
(f) Twenty eight (28) years or more of service – 7 weeks;
(g) On each of the following anniversary years, the Employee will be provided with five (5) supplemental vacation days to be deposited in her/his vacation bank: Thirty (30) year anniversary Thirty-five (35) year anniversary Forty (40) year anniversary Note: These five (5) supplemental vacation days are not an additional week of vacation per year. These are days deposited in the Employee’s vacation bank to be taken or carried over during the following vacation year(s).
Full-Time Employees Only. She/he shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times her/his regular rate, plus a lieu day at her/his regular rate.
Full-Time Employees Only. An employee who is required to work on any of the above-mentioned holidays will be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) time her regular rate of pay and shall be given an additional day off with pay within sixty (60) days following the holiday unless otherwise arranged between the employee and the administrator, or the employee shall receive one day's pay.
