Requests to use or pay out compensatory time. a. All requests for compensatory time off must be approved by a supervisor. If the Employer is unable to approve a request for compensatory time off due to operational necessity, the Employer will pay the employee for the requested hours in accordance with sub-section b and c below, in lieu of granting the time off requested. At no time will overtime be used in order to grant compensatory time off.
