Common use of Retention of Earned Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Retention of Earned Sick Leave. Unit members on Long-term Leaves of Absence shall retain any prior sick leave that may have accumulated, unless such leave provisions are otherwise expended in accordance with this Agreement or law. Additional sick leave benefits shall not accrue during the leave period.
