RETIREMENT MEDICAL HEALTH BENEFITS. β The City shall maintain lifetime retiree medical health benefits for those employees (and their families, where applicable) within the classifications covered by this MOU who were hired prior to January 1, 1998, worked for the City for the requisite 5 year vesting period and retired, or retire, from the City. Employees hired after January 1, 1998, and who retire from the City shall vest in lifetime retiree medical health benefits as provided in Government Code Section 22893.
