Common use of Retraining Funds Clause in Contracts

Retraining Funds. From the amount appropriated for the purposes enumerated in Article 12.10.1, funds may be allotted for purposes of retraining of members. Such funds shall be used to defray tuition, book, travel, and related expenses incurred by a member in pursuing a retraining program approved by the President and CSU-AAUP. Retraining of a member who wishes to learn a new discipline, either within or outside of the disciplines encompassed by the member’s department, may be funded in accordance with procedures established above.
