Driver Training. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

Driver Training. When requested, all County employees will participate in the County Driver's Training Program as a mandatory requirement of being an employee of the County.
Driver Training. 18.3.1 During each school year all school bus drivers shall be provided with a minimum of five (5) hours of paid transportation-related in-service. a. Staff meetings will be held for purposes of conducting in-service training, safety, policy developments, and such other matters as the Director or designee determines necessary. b. Any district-approved meetings or classroom training whereby a driver attains hours for his/her renewal as required by the State of California shall be in a paid status up to the minimum number of such hours required annually. 18.3.2 Drivers will be trained and tested on the vehicle(s) in the district fleet in accordance with state law. Training on additional types of vehicles will be offered by the District throughout the year. Pre-bid training will be offered, but it is the responsibility of the individual employee to be trained.

Pupil Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program.
Driver Training. A. Contractor shall provide emergency vehicle operator’s course (EVOC) training to promote safe driving and prevent vehicular crashes/incidents to each of its personnel who operate a vehicle in performing service under this Agreement, including on-going driver-training for ambulance and field supervisory personnel. B. Training and skill proficiency is required at initial employment with annual training refresher courses and skill confirmation for ambulance and field supervisory personnel.
Driver Training. The Contractor shall provide an approved training and retraining program, to teach driver proficiency and safety. The driver-training program will commence the first year of employment and shall include but not be limited to the following: 1) Defensive driving, using a program approved by the National Safety Council; 2) Use of all special equipment associated with the job, such as wheelchair lifts, fire extinguishers and two-way communications devices; 3) Operating procedures, including passenger assistance policies, fare collection, vehicle pre-operation checks, use of forms, record keeping and dispatch procedures; 4) Familiarization with the service area; passenger assistance techniques, including training in dealing with the disabled and sensitivity training; 5) Relevant policies and procedures contained in an Operator's Manual; In addition, the driver training shall include at least: a) Annual reviews of individual driver's responsibilities and performance; b) Semi-annual observations of the driver's on-the-job performance. Supervisors should ride with the drivers to observe their driving techniques. c) Maintaining records for all drivers to verify that the training has been received. 6) Drivers shall be retrained in Defensive Driving and Passenger Sensitivity every three years. Individual training records shall be available for inspection by Recipient on request.
Driver Training. Develop and maintain an on-going driver training program for 17 ambulance personnel. The program, the number of instruction hours, and the system for integration into 18 ambulance operations (e.g., accident review boards, impact of accidents on employee performance 19 reviews and compensation, etc.) shall be submitted to OCEMS, initially and on an annual basis 20 thereafter. Training and skill proficiency is required at initial employment with annual training refresher 21 and skill confirmation.
