Common use of Return to Former Job Clause in Contracts

Return to Former Job. (a) In the event that an employee is promoted in accordance with the provisions of this Article and within thirty (30) days of such promotion he is not performing efficiently, or the employee wishes to do so, he will revert to his immediate previous job, without loss of seniority.

(a) In the event that an employee within the bargaining unit is promoted in accordance with the provisions of this Article and within thirty (30) days (or longer if agreed to by the Parties of such promotion he is they are not performing efficiently, or the employee wishes to do so, he they will revert to his their immediate previous jobjob within the bargaining unit, without loss of seniority.
