Posting of Jobs. 20.1 Whenever promotions, new jobs or vacancies occur in the Bargaining Unit, notices of such promotions, new jobs or vacancies shall be posted at the Main Gate and at five (5) job posting boards within the Plant, for a period of three (3) regular working days. Copies will be provided to the Union for display at the Union's downtown office. Any employee with seniority wishing to apply, shall do so on forms to be supplied by the Company and available from the Bargaining Committee .
20.2 Applications shall bear the signature of a Bargaining Committee Member, or Xxxxxxx and the Supervisor of the applicant's department, and such signatures shall not be refused.
20.3 Decisions to fill such promotions, new job, or vacancy shall be made in the following order.
a) In favour of the applicant who has not bid successfully in the last six (6) months and who has the greatest seniority and is qualified and willing to perform the work required. The six (6) month restriction does not apply to an employee who is laid off or transferred to lower paid work or bidding on an apprenticeship.
b) If no applicant is qualified under (a) above, then in favour of the applicant who has successfully bid within the last six months, and who has the greatest seniority or has attained seniority and is qualified and willing to perform the work required. However, such applicant shall only be awarded the job by mutual consent of the Company and the Union, unless the bid is for a higher classification.
c) In the event that no applicant is eligible under the above, any qualified employee with or without seniority, may be assigned to the job. Any employee so assigned will not be re-assigned until an elapsed period of six (6) months, unless otherwise mutually agreed by the Company and the Union. The assignment or re-assignment will be deemed to be the same as a Job Bid and the employee must agree to the assignment.
20.4 a) The job posting will state the effective date of the job. Any change in an employee's wage rate will also be effective that date. The name of the successful applicant will be posted on the boards within fifteen (15) working days after the expiry date of the posting. A successful applicant who declines a job after the result is posted, shall not be accepted on another job posting for three (3) months. A successful bidder may return to his/her old position if he/she so requests within three (3) working days of beginning work in the new classification.
Posting of Jobs. A. The District agrees to post all job openings, which it intends to fill, on bulletin boards in respective work areas in order that Employees of the District shall have the opportunity to apply for any and all jobs for which they are qualified. For all qualified candidates, seniority will prevail for all promotions when candidate qualifications are equal.
1. Notice of each job vacancy which the District intends to fill or new job opportunity within the bargaining unit shall be posted on Employee bulletin boards for a period of five (5) working days. The notice shall set forth the job classification and location.
2. All regular Employees shall be eligible to bid on all such job vacancies or new job opportunities.
3. Only bids received during the posting period set forth above will be considered by the District.
B. Regular Employees promoted to a new job classification shall be given a trial period in that new position for a period of three (3) months. If, during the trial period, the regular Employee is demoted from the new position, or if the Employee should desire to vacate the position, the following procedure shall take place:
1. If a vacancy in the regular Employee's former position exists, the Employee shall be returned to the former position.
2. If no vacancy exists, the Employee may apply for any other District job opening for which the Employee is qualified.
3. If no other vacancy exists, or if the Employee is unsuccessful in applying for another job, such Employee shall be temporarily placed in the Laborer classification at the percentage salary rate based on the employee's length of employment with the District. Regardless of the actual work performed by the Employee, any such Employee so placed shall not be entitled to extra compensation provided herein, under (but not limited to) provisions relating to "out of class pay", "xxxxxxx I" and “xxxxxxx II”. At such time as a vacancy exists in a position for which such Employee is qualified and/or satisfactorily held previously, such Employee shall be assigned to that position without having to bid for it.
4. Provision "B" of this section shall not apply to any Employee terminated by the District.
Posting of Jobs. The University shall have the ability to create an internal only job announcement from which only current University employees will be rated for qualifications. The posting of a position for internal candidate applications will be considered by the appropriate supervisor prior to requesting a job announcement posting that would allow both internal as well as external candidates to apply.

Posting of Jobs. All openings for permanent positions will be posted on bulletin boards, and a copy of the posting will be supplied to the O/T Committee. All employees may bid on such job openings, and applications submitted in writing will be reviewed jointly by the Supervisor, Department Head, and Executive Director. The following conditions apply to posting of jobs:
(a) Jobs are to be posted for three working days.
(b) Applications are to be submitted in writing to the Department Head.
(c) All applicants will be notified in writing as to selection within five working days after approval.
(d) Jobs will be filled on a temporary basis if a grievance as to selection is submitted in writing.
(e) If more than one employee qualifies for the position, seniority shall prevail, provided all other qualifications are equal.
(f) The Department Head shall notify the O/T Committee of selection prior to filling the position. Employees will not be permitted to downgrade themselves, unless there are extenuating circumstances approved by the Executive Director which are in the best interests of the Authority and the employee concerned. If the Executive Director finds it necessary to fill any position on a temporary basis for longer than a two-week period, the O/T Committee representatives will be notified prior to the appointment being made.
Posting of Jobs. 12.1 The City shall regularly post all vacancies it intends to fill through a competitive process. Should the City determine not to fill a vacancy in the bargaining unit through the competitive process, notice of how the position will be filled shall be provided to the Union. Postings shall be distributed electronically to all bargaining unit members or posted on bulletin boards located in conspicuous places available to employees in areas where employees do not have easy access to e-mail. Positions shall be posted for a period of at least five (5) consecutive work days. The City shall notify the Union of the supervisor of a posted position upon request.
12.2 If a promotional position has been posted externally and the posting will be relied on to fill an additional position in another division, not identified on the original posting, the new position will be posted internally for a minimum of one week and any additional internal applicants will be considered along with applications already received.
12.3 Employees have the right, upon inquiring, to be informed of the specific criteria that will be used for selection, including the areas of knowledge and the skills that will be tested. Employees who are unsuccessful shall also have the right, upon request, to feedback on their performance in the selection process.
12.4 Complaints arising under this Article concerning selection are not grievable under Article 34 of this Agreement.
Posting of Jobs. 8.1 It is the desire and intent of the Employer to fill job vacancies from qualified applicants within the city before hiring new employees, providing the employees who apply have the required qualifications for the particular job.
8.2 Vacant positions will be filled from employment lists established by Human Resources except when an alternate procedure is allowed by employment policies in the case of entry level positions and flexibly staffed positions. A flexibly staffed position is one which may be filled at the entry (I) level by an employee who may be promoted to the full working (II) level on the basis of successful performance at the entry level. Placement on an employee list will be on the basis of examination of candidates' qualifications. Employees shall be allowed paid time off from their work schedule to participate in interviews for in-house positions. When candidates are to be examined for placement on an employment list, the City will post a notice of the examination and accept applications for seven (7) regularly scheduled working days and shall be posted in each reporting duty station subject to this Agreement where employee access to Employer provided computer systems and its internet network is not made available. The employment list may be effective up to six months. Employees may decline consideration for appointment to a vacant position and remain on the employment list in the same rank or position.
8.3 Vacant positions may be posted on a simultaneous or internal/external basis, based on the following guidelines:
8.3.1 All applications will be collected directly by the Human Resources Department.
8.3.2 The Employer shall first view internal applications.
Posting of Jobs. 14:01 (a) (i) Subject to Article 14:01(e), whenever new jobs, back-up positions or vacancies occur, whether permanent or temporary notices of such vacancies, back-up positions or new jobs shall be posted in the plants on the bulletin boards for a period of three (3) regular working days. Any employee wishing to apply shall do so within three (3) regular working days of the date of posting, on forms to be supplied by the Company.
Posting of Jobs. There shall be posting of all job openings showing location, hours, levels of classification, pay rate, job qualifications and days worked, so that the nutrition services employees qualified for the position shall have an opportunity to apply. Selection criteria will include work experience, job related skills, seniority and education. Seniority will be considered, but not the sole determining factor. Postings will be made during the school year insofar as is possible. The Board reserves the final right to transfer or promote employees. Once a vacancy is declared, the vacancy shall be posted for at least two (2) working days. Employees that are not selected may request within five (5) working days of decision a response as to why they were not selected. Response (meeting) shall be given within ten (10) working days. When interviews are complete, each person who applied will be notified whether they were or were not hired.
Posting of Jobs. Vacancies in jobs requiring prompt filling will be immediately filled and the Employer will post a notice of the action taken within a reasonable time thereafter. The Employer will, for a period of seventy-two (72) hours, exclusive of Saturday and Sunday, after posting such vacancies under the terms of the seniority clause. Applications received within the seventy-two (72) hour period will be given consideration on the basis of the applicant’s seniority rating, together with their qualifications for the job to be filled. Vacancies which do not require filling in less time will be posted at least seven (7) days prior to filling, provided, however, that vacancies at the beginning of campaign which require filling in less time will be posted for at least seventy-two (72) hours, exclusive of Saturday and Sunday. Employees eligible for the filling of vacancies shall not be limited to employees making application therefore. In exception to the above, the Employer need not post Station B or Station C jobs. This exception shall not apply to Station B – 1 jobs.
