Common use of Returning from Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Returning from Leave of Absence. The employee must be qualified to resume his regular duties upon return to work from an approved Leave of Absence. A doctor's certificate verifying that the employee is able to resume his normal duties may be required. The employee shall be returned to the job previously held, or to a job comparable with regard to rate of pay no later than on the first weekly schedule, provided the notice of intent to return to work is received prior to 9:00 am, Wednesday of the week preceding the next available schedule.
