CONSUMER PRICE INDEX ADJUSTMENTS 20.1 The Licence Fee payable by the Licensee will be adjusted automatically each year, on 1 July, in accordance with the official Consumer Price Index (CPI) as published by Statistics South Africa.
Menu of Labour Adjustment Strategies Where a work force reduction is necessary, the following labour adjustment strategies will be considered, as applicable.
MERCURY ADDED CONSUMER PRODUCTS Contractor agrees that it will not sell or distribute fever thermometers containing mercury or any products containing elemental mercury for any purpose under this Contract.
CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT 40.1 The parties confirm that this sale did not come about as a result of direct marketing by the Seller and/or its agent/s but has been concluded as a result of consultative negotiations between the parties.
Consumer protection 1. The Parties recognize the importance of maintaining and adopting transparent and effective measures to protect consumers from fraudulent and deceptive commercial practices in electronic commerce. 2. To this end, the Parties shall exchange information on their experiences in protecting consumers engaged in electronic commerce.
Consumer Rights Care has been taken to use plain language and to give clear explanations in these terms and conditions. If any words alone or in combination infringe consumer rights laws or any other provision of law, they shall be treated as severable and shall be replaced with words which give as near the original meaning as may be fair. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects the Parents' statutory rights.
Sweatshop Labor If this Agreement provides for the laundering of apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, or for furnishing equipment, materials, or supplies other than for public works, this section is applicable. Contractor certifies that no apparel, garments or corresponding accessories, equipment, materials, or supplies furnished to the JBE under this Agreement have been laundered or produced in whole or in part by sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor, or with the benefit of sweatshop labor, forced labor, convict labor, indentured labor under penal sanction, abusive forms of child labor or exploitation of children in sweatshop labor. Contractor adheres to the Sweatfree Code of Conduct as set forth on the California Department of Industrial Relations website located at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx, and PCC 6108. Contractor agrees to cooperate fully in providing reasonable access to Contractor’s records, documents, agents, and employees, and premises if reasonably required by authorized officials of the Department of Industrial Relations, or the Department of Justice to determine Contractor’s compliance with the requirements under this section and shall provide the same rights of access to the JBE.
New or Revised Classifications The Employer shall provide at least twenty-five (25) days' notice and will meet and confer with the Union over any new or revised classification specification, if requested by the Union. The Union may propose alternatives to the Employer proposed changes during the twenty-five day period. The Employer shall negotiate with the Union on other classification issues as required by State personnel law.
NOTICE TO BUYER OF LABOR DISPUTES Whenever Seller has knowledge that any actual or potential labor dispute is delaying or threatens to delay the timely performance of this Contract, Seller shall immediately give notice thereof, including all relevant information, to Buyer.
