The California Education Code shall be available, and the District Office shall provide copies of specific Education Code provisions upon request of the Association and/or unit member. Both documents shall be made accessible to individual unit members. E. The Association Faculty Representative, upon request, shall be granted a minimum of five minutes during regular faculty meetings to announce the agenda for upcoming Association business. F. The Association president shall be granted a leave of at least one-half (1/2) of each service day during the term of office. A schedule will be mutually agreed upon by the President and Superintendent or designee prior to the beginning of the school year. G. The President of the University and representatives of the Association shall have access to sites for conducting business when it does not interfere with the instructional program and may enjoy the privileges afforded under the Board of Education policy on use of facilitiesmeet as requested by either party. The Association shall have the right to post notices address the Board at all public meetings of reasonable activities and matters the Board. At the beginning of each academic year, the Association concern President will provide to the University a list of those members of the Association who are authorized to speak on a bulletin board in each school in behalf of the DistrictAssociation. The Association President shall also provide the University the names of the primary and alternative contacts for communication purposes. B. The Association President shall have reasonable access to the following: 1. Agenda and minutes of all Board of Trustees meetings at the time of dissemination; 2. University policies and procedures C. Upon written request, public documents as defined in Section 149.43 O.R.C. shall be made available to the Association. The University may assess the Association the standard copy fee charged to other campus organizations for any copies requested. D. The Association shall be permitted to use the University‟s classrooms, lounges, and grounds facilities at no cost, unless the University implements a parking fee. Other University facilities shall be provided as per rates established by University policy on an incremental cost basis. Any additional cost incurred by the University shall be paid by the Association upon submission of an appropriately documented charge. E. The Association shall be authorized to use University-owned office and instructional equipment. Any supplies consumed with the use of the Intra-District mail service, District email and other electronic communication methods used by the District and unit member’s mailboxes for communication to unit members. All communications equipment shall be signed paid by an authorized representative of the Association. C. Authorized F. The Association shall be permitted to use the University‟s interdepartmental mail facilities. G. The Association shall be permitted to use the University telephone and long distance system in order to conduct official Association business. Long distance charges shall be paid by the Association. H. The Association shall be permitted to use the University‟s printing services on a cost for use basis. Billing for these services will be handled through the established billing procedure of the University. Charges to the Association for such services will be the same as those assessed other campus groups and individuals. I. Duly authorized representatives of the Association who are not employed by the University shall be permitted to transact official business with Association members on University premises during normal business on school property at reasonable timeshours, provided such business does not interfere with the employees‟ duties. J. The Xxxxxxx will provide file storage space within the University accessible by the SEA sufficient for three (3) University-provided lockable file cabinets. K. The University shall continue to provide the Association with rights to communicate with members over a designated SEA e-mail list. The Board will allow the Association to use School printing, computer, and audio- visual facilities on the same basis as School users at the same rate as School users subject to availability. The Board will allow the Association to use school telephones with charges for long distance calls paid by the Association. 6. The President of the Association, or someone designated by the President of the Association, and a second Member designated by the President of the Association, shall have observer status at meetings of the Board of Directors. The President of the Association, or someone designated by the President of the Association, shall have observer status at the following bodies in the School: Finance and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, Joint Senate Committee, Academic Council. The President or someone designated by the President shall receive notice of all meetings and all documentation circulated to Members of these bodies except for documentation associated with closed session portions, and shall be made accessible entitled to individual unit membersattend all meetings except for closed session portions. E. 7. Work in any year by Members of the Bargaining Unit on the Association's Executive Committee, the Joint Health and Safety Committees, or other committees or sub- committees shall be considered by the Board as service to the academic community performed by the Member in any year. Such work shall be included in, and covered by, Articles 1.8, 2.1 to and including 2.15 (public liability insurance, Academic and Professional Career). The President will be paid for overload work by the Employer in the amount of $3,500 per annum and the Chief Negotiator will be paid for overload work by the Employer in the amount of $7,000 per annum. 8. The President of the Association Faculty Representativeor someone designated by the President, upon requestand one other person elected from amongst a group consisting of the bargaining unit and senior administrators who are otherwise excluded from the bargaining unit but who have the right of reversion to the bargaining unit, shall be granted voting Members of the Pension Committee. The Joint Consultative Committee for the administration of the agreement shall act as a minimum of five minutes during regular faculty meetings to announce the agenda for upcoming Association businessJoint Benefits Committee.
