Rights of Teachers on Layoff. 1 Teachers who have not attained professional teacher status who are laid off shall be completely severed from the district, except that to the extent allowed by law, subject to full reimbursement by the teacher to the school district, the school district will continue to provide the same Blue Cross/Blue Shield or HMO Health Insurance and Life Insurance up to an 18-month period.
