Robustness tests Sample Clauses

Robustness tests. Confidence in a structural model, such as the one developed here, would be enhanced if the model’s main results can be shown to be robust with respect to specification and variable definitions. The simplest way to do this is to compare it to an alternative model of the demand for borrowed reserves. The only model that exists of discount window borrowing in the interwar years is the one developed by Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx, reported in his 1991 book and in articles that preceded that book. In that model, which was estimated on time-series data and is based on the well-known model of Xxxxxxxx and Xxxx (1966), the change in borrowing, ∆B, is a function of the spread between the commercial paper rate and the discount rate, Spreadi,t = RCPt – Rd i,t changes in unborrowed reserves as a proxy for banks’ reserve need, ∆RN, lagged borrowings, and changes in bank debits, ∆Debits, to capture the influence of economic activity on the demand for borrowed reserves, and a dummy variable added to capture changes in borrowing during the Great Depression years. To adapt this model for estimation with panel data and facilitate comparisons to the estimates reported in Table 4, borrowing and bank debits were scaled by bank capital, seasonal dummies were added, and the dummy variable for the Great Depression years in the regressions reported by Xxxxxxxx was omitted to allow parameter shifts and fixed effects to pick up any change in structure during those years. So modified, the alternative model is:

Robustness tests. ‌ Although the DID analyses allow me to be relatively confident that experience is driving support for electoral reform, there are two remaining issues: 1) constituency-level preferences might outweigh regional-level preferences about party performance and 2) placebo tests are necessary to increase confidence that the DID analyses are valid.

  • Health Tests At the time of employment, the Employer shall provide a Tuberculin skin test at no cost to the nurse. In the event of a positive reaction to this test, the Employer will provide a chest x-ray at no cost. Upon request, a routine blood examination and urinalysis will be provided at no cost to the nurse once each year.

  • Laboratory Testing All laboratories selected by UPS Freight for analyzing Controlled Substances Testing will be HHS certified.

  • Drug Testing (A) The state and the PBA agree to drug testing of employees in accordance with section 112.0455, F.S., the Drug-Free Workplace Act.

  • Drug Test The compulsory production and submission of urine and/or blood, in accordance with departmental procedures, by an employee for chemical analysis to detect prohibited drug usage.

  • Test The outer surface of the lamp lenses shall be subjected once or more than once to the action of the sand jet produced as described above. The jet shall be sprayed almost perpendicular to the surface to be tested. The deterioration shall be checked by means of one or more samples of glass placed as a reference near the lenses to be tested. The mixture shall be sprayed until the variation in the diffusion of light on the sample or samples measured by the method described in Appendix 2, is such that: Δ d = (T5 - T4) / T2 ≤ 0.0250 ± 0.0025 Several reference samples may be used to check that the whole surface to be tested has deteriorated homogeneously. Annex 6 - Appendix 4

  • WELDING TESTS 31.1 On hire welders must possess the qualifications and class of welding ticket specified by the Employer. It will be at the Employer's discretion whether a welder who does not possess the qualifications and class of welding ticket specified will be hired.

  • Polygraph Tests The Employer agrees that polygraph or similar lie detector tests will not be used.

  • Loop Testing/Trouble Reporting 2.1.6.1 Think 12 will be responsible for testing and isolating troubles on the Loops. Think 12 must test and isolate trouble to the BellSouth portion of a designed/non- designed unbundled Loop (e.g., UVL-SL2, UCL-D, UVL-SL1, UCL-ND, etc.) before reporting repair to the UNE Customer Wholesale Interconnection Network Services (CWINS) Center. Upon request from BellSouth at the time of the trouble report, Think 12 will be required to provide the results of the Think 12 test which indicate a problem on the BellSouth provided Loop.

  • Substance Abuse Testing The Parties agree that it is in the best interest of all concerned to promote a safe working environment. The Union has no objection to pre-employment substance abuse testing when required by the Employer and further, the Union has no objection to voluntary substance abuse testing to qualify for employment on projects when required by a project owner. The cost and scheduling of such testing shall be paid for and arranged by the Employer. The Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for any failed pre-access Alcohol and Drug test costs.

  • ODUF Testing 6.6.1 Upon request from TWTC, AT&T shall send ODUF test files to TWTC. The Parties agree to review and discuss the ODUF file content and/or format. For testing of usage results, AT&T shall request that TWTC set up a production (live) file. The live test may consist of TWTC’s employees making test calls for the types of services TWTC requests on ODUF. These test calls are logged by TWTC, and the logs are provided to AT&T. These logs will be used to verify the files. Testing will be completed within thirty (30) days from the date on which the initial test file was sent.
