Common use of Sabbatical Study Leave Clause in Contracts

Sabbatical Study Leave. 15.9.1 The Superintendent retains the discretionary right to grant, upon request, unpaid leaves for sabbatical/study reasons. Such leave shall not exceed one (1) calendar year in duration. 15.9.2 Requests for sabbatical/study reasons shall be limited to unit members who have completed seven (7) complete years of County Office service and shall be accompanied by such documentation as is necessary to demonstrate the purpose and goals of the proposed studies, and to include the manner in which the proposed study may be expected to accrue benefit to the Superintendent.
